Indiana University Press promoted What is Philanthropy? at the recent international conference of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA)held here in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA).  They did a great job with taking out an ad in the conference program, exhibiting at the conference and setting up several Meet the Producer events over the course of November 16-18. A total of 20 DVDs were sold.  The free, accompanying Educators Guide that is available through Indiana University ScholarWorks was displayed, and Producer Salvatore Alaimo took pleasure in greeting everyone. “It was great to have some of the conference attendees come up to me and say they already owned the film and were using it in their institutions,” said Alaimo.
